Monkey pox testing is similar to COVID-19 testing using a nasopharyngeal swab. The Monkeypox virus is on the rise. It is a rare disease is in the family of viruses as variola virus that causes smallpox. This virus is spread from person to person through direct contact with infectious rash, scabs or bodily fluids. Also, face to face contact such as kissing, cuddling or sex. Symptoms last 2-4 weeks. If you are positive for Monkeypox, please isolate yourself and stay home. Wear a mask, cover your lesions, cover porous surfaces with a sheet, blanket, tarp or other cover. Disinfect surfaces between each use. Valid drivers license and insurance card must be shown at the time of your appointment. All results will be sent via email and text. Meets pre-travel requirements. Ages 3+ 1. You will not have out-of-pocket costs if you meet the criteria for no-cost testing through your insurance or a government-funded program. You should contact your insurer before scheduling to confirm the test meets coverage criteria. You may be billed by The Right Lab and, if applicable, the laboratory for up to the full price of the test if your insurance denies coverage or you don't meet eligibility criteria for government no-cost testing programs. 2. Test results cannot be guaranteed by a specific time, including for travel. Test results turnaround time is an estimate and may vary during periods of increased demand and other factors, such as transmitting and processing delays during weekends, holidays or inclement weather.
